Guten morgen.
The youth group from Japan arrived yesterday, and today, Masaaki-sama and a total of 65 participants visited the Buchenwald concentration camp.

The concentration camp is about 3 hours northeast of Frankfurt by car, located near the city of Weimer. In the 1930’s and 40’s, the Nazi’s interred approximately 20,000 Jewish people in the facilities there.

Masaaki-sama and the group saw isolation cells, forced labor facilities, etc.

In the end, everyone gathered in a one room made as a memorial and Masaaki-sama read a message received from Kyoshu-sama “At the Buchenwald concentration camp” out loud in Japanese and English, while Rev. Thomé read it aloud in German and Portuguese.

Next, with Masaaki-sama leading, they all prayed the Amatsu Norito.
