안녕하세요 Annyeonghaseyo! (Good evening!)

The missionary visit to Korea has continued on from Miryang to the capital of Seoul in the northern region where Kyoshu-sama visited the Seoul Johrei Center.

At the Johrei center, located in a quiet, residential area of the suburbs, members began preparations after Kyoshu-sama’s missionary visit was announced this year in August. With the thought of welcoming Meishu-sama, they took close to three months to work on the garden and made the interior of the center brand new—with heart and soul, they devoted themselves to preparations. For members, this visit from Kyoshu-sama was very special to them—they welcomed him with a flood of emotions.

A little past 10 am, Kyoshu-sama, his wife Mayumi-sama and Masaaki-sama arrived. They were welcomed by all the members with great applause and received hand-made bouquets of flowers presented to them by children. They also walked to the garden and saw the attentive maintenance of the flowers, plants as well as their kitchen gardening.

At the meeting, first, under the lead of Kyoshu-sama, everyone prayed the Amatsu Norito. After Kyoshu-sama channeled Johrei, Rev. Jyung, Center Head, stood to give a greeting. As she restrained his tears, she said, “I cannot believe that Kyoshu-sama is here. I sincerely thank you for coming to even a small center like this. That we were permitted to receive a visit from you, for us, I believe is an important chance to receive confidence, courage and strength. I pledge to fully study and practice Kyoshu-sama’s messages. And from the members, I ask them to practice as well.”

At the beginning of his message, Kyoshu-sama greeted everyone in Korean, yeoreobun annyung hashimnikka! (Hello, everyone!) and applause arose from the congregation.

Then he said, “Beginning with Rev. Jyung and all the members of the Seoul Johrei Center, I have indeed received your thoughts and feelings. Beginning with Rev. Yun and all members of Korea, you have determined to go forward on Meishu-sama’s true path together with me in spirit and have declared your determination. And you have invited us. I express my sincere gratitude. Should you ask why, it is because it is the first time that visiting Korea was possible as Kyoshu.” And thus he expressed words of joy and gratitude.

The following are points from his guidance that day.

What I would like to tell you today is that each and every one of us has a “Beginning.” We were born on earth carrying with us this “Beginning.”

God’s purpose of creation is to bear children in His own likeness and for that purpose, God prepared heaven at the Beginning of creation and bore us there.

The spirits that were to become human and the spirits that were to become all things, together in heaven served God. God first created all things in order to put them onto the earth. At that time, we served Him and were used to create all things. Then we were put onto the earth, nurtured together with all things, and finally God created our thoughts and feelings, in other words, the important consciousness. And so, each and every one of us became a separate individual existence.

This time, each and every single one of us have the task to realize that God is our true parent, to return to His home and serve together evermore with Meishu-sama in God’s divine work of creation.

Because all things do not have a consciousness to return to heaven, humans, who is made from all things, must return to heaven together with all things and all humanity with their own conscious effort. This is our duty.

Each and every one of us is an aggregate of all of God’s creations. All things, the evolution of all things, as well as various information from our ancestors are also aggregated within us. And so when each and every one of us recalls our true parent and returns to heaven, it is a very important work in God’s creation.

We forgot who our true parent is and we must repent that we neglected God—we are ones who are in need of forgiveness.

The holy name of Messiah, is the important path for us to return to heaven. God prepared this path for us in advance. It was Meishu-sama who taught us the name of Messiah. And so we have the duty to say to God, “In the name of Messiah, which is one with Meishu-sama, together with all things and all humanity, I return to your heaven.”

God prepared various things for us so that we are able to realize God is our true parent, God governs all. Government, economics, religion, science, and every ideology were prepared by God. Through those things, the purpose of them is for us to recall God, recall heaven and return to God’s home. The three pillars of salvation—Johrei, Natural Food/Nature Farming and Appreciation of Art & Beauty—activities that we put our efforts into, were also prepared by God so that each and every one of us can return to heaven.

Although we say the activity of appreciating art and beauty and arranging flowers too, I believe it is necessary to think over the fact that God created our own bodies and assembled them with much effort in order to make us His own children. As Meishu-sama says, “Heaven is a World of Art.” When we arrange flowers in various places, I believe that he wants us to realize that heaven is in all places.

Even the activity of Johrei, it is wonderful if a miracle occurs. God has manifested Himself through many miracles. However, there are illnesses that are healed and illnesses that are not healed. If a person who is healed is saved and a person who is not healed cannot be saved, isn’t that a little different from God’s will to save all of humanity?

In cases that illness is not healed, we have tried to hide the fact or ignore it. Or illness was not healed because we have thought things like our efforts were wrong. We have come up with various excuses to blame ourselves or other people. However, in 1954, Meishu-sama collapsed from a brain hemorrhage and even though his hemorrhaging was not healed, he said with great joy that it was the birth of the Messiah—in short, he was born anew, a Messiah was born. He also said that it was a miracle beyond a miracle.

Meishu-sama passed away the next year. However, medically speaking, he did not heal from his illness and his health did not recover. It was actually in the middle of his cerebral hemorrhaging that he said, “a Messiah was born,” celebrated this fact, and announced this to his members. This is not the health that we normally think of—isn’t God teaching us here about what true health is? At the end, Meishu-sama realized that his own life was God’s life, that he carried within him the eternal life of God. I believe this is no easy matter. I believe this is the message of salvation for all humanity.

Returning to heaven, I would like to serve together with Meishu-sama in God’s work of creation that is never confined, that is never delayed. I believe that this is our task as followers of Meishu-sama. If all of you think in this way, together, let us serve on this path of salvation that saves all of humanity.

Afterwards, Kyoshu-sama and his family met with everyone to exchange handshakes and to take a commemorative photograph. In a meeting that they became one with the members, it came to an end in a harmonious atmosphere with joy and deep emotion.
