Greeting by Masaaki-sama
Meeting with Members
Multicultural Hub, Melbourne, Australia
December 5, 2018

Good evening!

Thank you, Rev. Horacio for your determination. I was touched, not by your words so much as by your sentiments. You were ready to lose your job, but I think you are protecting something noble and greater than protecting something physical and material. You are seeking something spiritual, and that is why you made the decision to leave the Izunome Church (Kyodan). Your determination has made my determination stronger as well, and I will also walk this path of faith with Kyoshu-sama, with you, and everyone in Japan and around the world who is trying to get closer to Meishu-sama through Kyoshu-sama. I am really grateful for your heart. Thank you very much.

Thank you, Alessandra for your kind words and your words of welcome. I heard about the fire purification, and in Japan the situation is quite similar, in the sense that the members who are following Kyoshu-sama needed to leave their churches. But many of them, before, thought that divine work was to go to church and clean. Going to the church in itself became the divine work. But now that they don’t have a church anymore, many ministers and members visit members’ homes and talk and listen to them – they really feel that this is the true divine work, interacting with people. Until now, somehow, the fact that we have a church, an organization, made us limit what divine work is. We felt satisfied by the fact that “Okay, because I am going to the church, I am serving God.” But once those things we have been taking for granted are taken away, I think somehow our faith has been reignited.

Purification, at first, feels like a terrible thing. But through it, I am quite sure we have the necessary spiritual growth. From your story, I think many people in Japan now are feeling the same sentiments that you felt at the time, and I think it is a great opportunity for all of us to really think about what true divine work is, what Meishu-sama really wants from us. Is Meishu-sama satisfied by the fact that we only go to church? No. He wants us to talk to people, listen to them and care for them. I believe it must have been very hard for you but thank you for sharing your experience.

The fact that I can come here was because this was supported by the church in Japan, Su no Hikari Kyodan and Izunome Kyoku (Group). Before the purification in Japan, I really wasn’t expecting this kind of thing (being able to come to Australia and meet its members) was going to happen. I felt that things were going wrong in a way, in that people were trying to reject Kyoshu-sama. And at the time, I thought that because the board had all the material things, the money, the buildings, everything and even controlled the Sacred Grounds, I thought to myself that if I followed Kyoshu-sama, there was a possibility that I would be expelled from the church because I was a staff member. I was employed by Sekai Kyusei Kyo and they were against Kyoshu-sama.

At the time, I talked to my wife and I told her that “I believe what Kyoshu-sama is teaching us is the true message of Meishu-sama. And if I follow him, I may get fired. I may lose my job.” Now I know there are many members following Kyoshu-sama in Japan, but at the time I wasn’t sure. Maybe people would want to take the side of the Sacred Grounds, the organization and not Kyoshu-sama. I did not know what was going to happen. So I told my wife that it was possible that I would not have any job and not have enough money to support the family. We were expecting our first child, and I asked her if it was okay if I followed this path and she said yes. She has a certificate to teach, so she said to me that she could become a teacher at a school and maybe earn some money for life and I was really touched by her determination. I was determined, but to be able to walk this path with my family is a great blessing for me, and she supports me 100% all the time.

After that, the purification actually started and many members in Japan stood up to protect Kyoshu-sama, to protect the divine work of Meishu-sama. I was trying to be positive, but you never know what is going to happen. So without the members in Japan, without members like you, my visit here wouldn’t have been possible. I think it is really a miracle that we are meeting here today, and there are no words to describe my gratefulness for your support – the support of the members in Japan, and the support of all the ministers in Japan.

What Kyoshu-sama has been teaching us, as Rev. Horacio said, the way he teaches us, may be quite difficult to understand and explain it to people sometimes, but I think it comes down to one single point, which is written in the leaflet. It is whether each one of us wants to become a child of God, receives the soul named Messiah within us, and becomes a child of God. I believe Kyoshu-sama is asking us, “Do you want to receive the soul of Messiah within you and become a child of God?” We sometimes feel that this message in itself is difficult to understand because we may think, “We are already children of God, why do we have to be born anew?” As is written in “Our Pledge,” I think God, with a lot of love, named us Messiah. When we name our children, we put all our hopes and love into the name for our kids, and I think it is the same for God. It is not like, “Okay, if you say so, I will receive it.” If you do something for your children, you really put a lot of love into it, and you want the child to really want it. If it took years and years to prepare something for a child, and the child simply says, “Okay. If you say so, I will receive it,” then the parents would be quite sad, don’t you think?

So it is up to each one of us whether we want to receive it or not. You don’t have to if you take it lightly. God will say that you don’t need to receive it. It is up to each one of us to make that decision, whether we want to receive it or not. God, within us, is asking, “Do you want to be my child?” “Do you really want to be my child?” To become a child of God, it means that God is going to be your King. You cannot be your own king anymore. Humans want to be their own kings – you want to control your life, you want to be your own master. But to accept God means that He is going to be your King, and you are going to serve Him. It seems like an easy decision to make, but I think it is a really difficult one to make. At the end of “Words of Prayer,” it says, “Please use me as You wish.” But sometimes I hesitate to say that because I want to be used in my own way. If you say, “Please use me as You wish,” God can say, “Okay if you say so, I am going to use you as I wish.” I think it is a scary thing because you never know what God will do to you. But I believe that if we dive into God, with all this uncertainty, I am quite sure He will hold us with His hands and say, “It is okay.” Maybe we are going to receive many purifications, but God is here for us.

So I think what Kyoshu-sama is trying to teach us, in one simple phrase, is the true love of God. In starting to use this leaflet, I feel like the divine work of Meishu-sama has entered a completely new stage. Also, Meishu-sama said the name of Messiah is the same as the second coming of Jesus Christ. I think that that in itself is a huge statement, a huge teaching. I think we didn’t really consider it as a very important word of Meishu-sama, but I believe it is an extremely important teaching of Meishu-sama. Until now, we have thought the second coming of Christ as only one person. But with this new leaflet, we all have the soul of Messiah, the soul of Christ within us. It means that if we receive it, each one of us can be the second coming of Jesus Christ. I think Meishu-sama is the very first person on earth to achieve that, and truly completed what Jesus Christ really wanted to teach us, that we are all connected to the name Christ, the name Messiah. We are truly brothers and sisters through that name.

The message in this leaflet may sound quite simple but it is really a divine and a noble one. Kyoshu-sama says we have to follow Meishu-sama and become a true child of God, Messiah. That is why Kyoshu-sama was expelled from the church, but he didn’t give up. He could have said, “Okay, if you say so, I will drop this message, and I will follow the organization.” He could have done that, but he didn’t. And that in itself shows how strong this message is. If this message weren’t that strong, there would have been no need for Kyoshu-sama to get expelled. But because people in Japan who are against Kyoshu-sama maybe unconsciously knew how strong this message and the name of Messiah were, they wanted to limit that power. But Kyoshu-sama stood up to protect the name of Messiah that Meishu-sama left to us.

I saw his determination and I also really wanted to follow him and carry the true message of Meishu-sama with Kyoshu-sama and with everyone who is with Kyoshu-sama, to the world. I would be very happy if you are really willing to receive the soul named Messiah within you. I believe it is the true salvation for all humanity, to let people awaken to the divine soul within them. I want to carry this message to the world with everyone, and I really wish for today to be the start for all of us.

Thank you very much.
