On March 30, under the presence of Kyoshu-sama and also his wife Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama, the Grand Spring Service was held at the RIGHA Royal Hotel Osaka (3rd floor, Korin Room) in conjunction with Su no Hikari Kyodan. Combining the morning and afternoon services, approximately 4,500 people gathered from all over the country. Mr. & Mrs. Kunihiko Muroi (member of the Japanese diet) and Head Minister of the Bolivia Church, Rev. Jorge Uyema, also attended the service.

First, the Opening Prayer was read aloud by Kyoshu-sama, which was also written by he, himself. Under Kyoshu-sama’s lead, everyone prayed the Amatsu Norito and Zengen Sanji prayers. After five poems selected from a pool of poem offerings by members were sung, a teaching of Meishu-sama was heard (Lecture, April 15, 1952). Next, everyone received Johrei from Kyoshu-sama.

After President Narii delivered a greeting, a video entitled, “To become children of God: Praising God, the ‘Hallelujah’ Chorus, from Messiah” was shown. The video presented members from all over the country and their efforts in practicing the “Hallelujah” chorus, aiming for a big offering at the upcoming Paradise on Earth Service.

Next, Masaaki-sama delivered a greeting and spoke boldly, with conviction, about the relationship between Meishu-sama and Jesus Christ.

Then Kyoshu-sama took the stage. He clearly expressed the essence of faith as a follower of Meishu-sama – matters including how God definitely lives within us and as one body, He is gathering all kinds of thoughts and feelings within us; and how Messiah is the mediator and intermediary between God and us, humanity, and the importance of surrendering the whole of ourselves together with all things to God in the name of Messiah.

At the end, everyone sang “Divine Light Hymn” and “Goin’ Home” with lyrics written by Kyoshu-sama. It was a service that brought together all thoughts of walking on the path of [our church motto], “Always one heart with Kyoshu-sama.”
