Under the presence of Kyoshu-sama, and his wife Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama, the Grand Spring Service & International Membership Conference – USA took place on April 21 (local time) at the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon, where approximately 280 people gathered, including pilgrimage groups from Japan, Brazil, Korea, Germany, Bolivia and Costa Rica.
First, Kyoshu-sama read aloud, in English, the Opening Prayer to God and then led the Amatsu Norito Prayer. After the teaching of Meishu-sama entitled, “Repent, for the end of night is at hand” was heard, everyone received Johrei from Kyoshu-sama.
Afterward, Rev. Paulo Santos, Acting President of Izunome Association, USA, spoke words of appreciation to Kyoshu-sama, Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama.
Next, Masaaki-sama took the podium. He spoke, in English, about what he himself felt about Kyoshu-sama’s guidance on the words, “God lives within us.” And he spoke with passion and conviction about the message from God on “becoming one with God,” while referring to Meishu-sama and Jesus Christ.
Next, Kyoshu-sama took the podium. He gave guidance to us saying that we humans lived a life to improve our own value in this world and thus became sinful in the eyes of God. We were in a helpless state where any human effort or any attempt to change our way of living proved to be of no use. However, through Meishu-sama, we were allowed to recall God, our true parent and His limitless love, and the good news we received in heaven. And it is precisely this gospel of heaven that is the true salvation, happiness, and joy that can be shared with all humanity, going beyond the boundaries of religion, race and language. He closed his message by saying he is determined to serve in this entirely new work of salvation together with everyone and with Meishu-sama leading us in the forefront. From the venue, he received great applause and a standing ovation from the congregation.
Continuing on, everyone sang in Japanese, “Goin’ Home” with lyrics written by Kyoshu-sama, and also in English, “Amazing Grace.” After Kyoshu-sama, Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama left the hall with thunderous applause, they responded to each member’s handshake and shared friendly exchanges.
Afterwards, too, a lunch was held, together with Kyoshu-sama, Mayumi-okusama, Masaaki-sama and all the participants. The service of the first missionary visit of Kyoshu-sama to America came to an end with joy and deep emotion.
