On May 3, the May Monthly Service was held at the Su no Hikari Kyodan Headquarters Altar Room. Members gathered from all over the country and prayed, praising the boundless benevolence and blessings of God who lives within each and every one of us and having in their hearts the motto “Always one heart with Kyoshu-sama.”
Then, Rev. Shirasawa stood to give a greeting. He first presented a member of the Japanese diet, Mr. Muroi Kunihiko and his wife. He also mentioned that the illegitimate Board of Executive Directors of Sekai Kyusei Kyo, made up of members from Toho no Hikari/MOA and Izunome Kyodan, are trying to revise the bylaws of SKK, with the help of a Certificate of Approval from Mr. Nobuyuki Watase, self-named, “Nobuyuki Okada.” Rev. Shirasawa made clear that in order to show our stance to the Agency for Cultural Affairs that we absolutely do not recognize Mr. Nobuyuki Watase as “Kyoshu of Sekai Kyusei Kyo,” Su no Hikari Kyodan and Izunome Group are conducting a worldwide signature-collecting campaign.
On the other end, he reported on the new mitamaya (home ancestral altar) and goreiji (family name marker) available now for households. The new mitamaya and goreiji can also be received by households who do not have a divine scroll dedicated in their homes. He said that this new presentation of enshrinement is to reflect the thought that we serve together and move hand-in-hand with all our ancestors in the work of salvation embedded in the name of Messiah.
In addition, Rev. Shirasawa said it has been decided that from July, the Monthly Services and Monthly Ancestors Services at the Sacred Grounds will be held on the first of each month in conjunction with Su no Hikari Kyodan. He expressed that we will be more unified with Su no Hikari Kyodan and move forward with divine work. At the end, all attendees sang together “Ieji” (Goin’ Home) with lyrics set by Kyoshu-sama.
