The Ohikari Receiving Ceremony solemnly took place at the Zuiun-kyo Sacred Grounds Su no Hikari Kyodan Headquarters altar room on May 19.

After Kyoshu-sama offered the Opening Prayer to God, everyone prayed the Amatsu Norito under his lead. Next, everyone sang Meishu-sama’s hymns and heard the teaching, “Words of Light.”

Afterwards, Kyoshu-sama presented the Ohikari to those who newly became members. In addition, this time, for the first time, Kyoshu-sama’s successor Masaaki-sama was present.

After Kyoshu-sama exited the altar room, Rev. Narii, President of Su no Hikari Kyodan took the stand. He touched upon how our most important mission as members is to revere Meishu-sama as our founder, follow his example, become closer to him even if just a little, and just as Meishu-sama did, “be born anew as a child of God, as a Messiah,” and how Kyoshu-sama is explaining this to us.

And he emphasized that “to be born anew as a true child of God, a Messiah” is a message that saves humanity and to carry this message and save all of humanity is the path that we are aiming for.

At the end, those who received the Ohikari and those participating, all together read aloud “Words of Prayer” and sang “Ieji” (Goin’ Home). Members who newly received the Ohikari, accepted [into their hearts] “to be born anew as a true child of God, a Messiah” following in the footsteps of Meishu-sama and determined to serve in the divine work of true salvation revealed by Meishu-sama.
