Under the prayers of Kyoshu-sama who presides over all rituals and ceremonies, the Prayer for Abundance Service took place on March 1 at the World Church of Messiah headquarters altar room. The president, regional directors and staff participated in the service. With the escalation of the spread of the new coronavirus, the service could not take place for members.
Seeds gathered from all over the country were offered at the altar; the opening prayer to God written by Kyoshu-sama was read aloud by the assistant officiant; and President Keiichiro Narii offered the pine branch (symbol of appreciation). The attendees prayed the Amatsu Norito and Zengen Sanji, then sang Meishu-sama’s hymns. After hearing the teaching, “On Kototama (spiritual sound of words),” everyone received Johrei from President Narii.
Following a report of gratitude, President Narii stood to give a greeting. The service came to close with the singing of “Ieji” (Goin’ Home), with lyrics written by Kyoshu-sama.
