Under the presence of Kyoshu-sama, Master of Rituals & Ceremonies, the World Church of Messiah Grand Ancestor Service took place at the headquarters altar room on August 1. Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama were present, and a limited number of members from the Chubu Region attended the service.
The service began at 11:30 am. Kyoshu-sama entered the altar and first offered the Opening words for the ancestors at the ancestral shrine. Next, in front of God, he read the Invitation of the souls followed by the opening prayer to God. After the offering of the pine branch (symbol of appreciation), everyone prayed the Amatsu Norito and Zengen Sanji. Next, everyone sang Meishu-sama’s hymns, then heard excerpts from the Sacred Word of Meishu-sama on justice. Everyone received Johrei from Kyoshu-sama.
After President Narii gave a greeting, Kyoshu-sama stood to deliver his message. Kyoshu-sama spoke on the following matters: prayer regarding the torrential rains of July; heaven exits; the ancestors are our brothers and sisters; and who is Kakuriyo no Ookami (or Great God of the Mystic World). He clearly revealed these with absolute faith and conviction, solemnly and boldly.
Lastly, in front of God, Kyoshu-sama performed the Returning of the souls, marking the end of the Grand Ancestor Service, the first since becoming World Church of Messiah.
