Under the presence of Kyoshu-sama, the Profession Ceremony took place on September 20 at the Breezé Plaza in Osaka. Masaaki-sama, Kyoshu-sama’s successor, was also present, and gathering there were those from all over the country wishing to become new members.

In the venue that was enveloped by the gentle light of autumn, Kyoshu-sama entered the altar area. He read aloud the opening prayer to God, then everyone prayed the Amatsu Norito together. After the singing of Meishu-sama’s hymns, “Words of Light” was heard. Next, everyone received Johrei from Kyoshu-sama, and the video “To Become Children of God: To Be Born Anew” was shown. After a brief recess, Kyoshu-sama presented the Ohikari to each new member.

Following a greeting from President Narii, everyone read aloud “Sacred Oath” and then sang “Goin’ Home” (Ie-ji) with lyrics written by Kyoshu-sama. Enwrapped in deep emotion and joy, the Profession Ceremony came to a close.

On that day, new members departed the venue with the great hope to be born anew as a child of God following the example of our founder, Meishu-sama, and with resolution in their hearts to convey the gospel of this salvation to as many people as possible.
