Since human beings have been breathing within the world of night for the last thousands of years, impurities have accumulated from that sin. This may not have been a huge issue until today, for humans have grown accustomed to living in darkness, in the world of night. But what is going to happen to them when they are illuminated by the bright light of the sun? Simply imagining this terrifies me. For example, what happens if we expose germs that have been living in the darkness for a long time under the sunshine?
Just as germs are annihilated by the sunlight, bodies filled with sin will be reduced to nothing.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.
