The Holy Consecration Prayer and Presentation of Sacred Objects officiated by Kyoshu-sama

The Consecration Prayer and Presentation of Sacred Objects officiated by Kyoshu-sama were held on November 10 in the headquarters altar room.

First, the Consecration Prayer took place with the presence of Masaaki-sama, Kyoshu-sama’s successor, and with the attendance of President Narii representing the Church. With a dignified appearance, Kyoshu-sama offered the prayers in a clear voice.

Next, in the Presentation of the Sacred Objects with the presence of Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama, Kyoshu-sama presented divine scrolls, divine images of Meishu-sama, Ohikari and so forth to President Narii.

The Consecration Prayer is a holy ritual that has been held since Meishu-sama’s lifetime. By Meishu-sama consecrating the Ohikari, a simple material object becomes a genuinely pure and sacred object.

After Meishu-sama’s ascension, this sacred duty has been passed down uninterrupted to successive Kyoshu-samas: Nidai-sama, Sandai-sama and through today to our Fourth Spiritual Leader Yoichi Okada, Yondai Kyoshu-sama.

It is precisely because the successive Kyoshu-samas have officiated the Consecration Prayer as the Masters of Rituals and Ceremonies that we followers can wear true Ohikari and that the divine scrolls and divine images of Meishu-sama are appropriate pure and sacred objects that can be dedicated on the altar. No one can be a substitute for Kyoshu-sama and hold the Consecration Prayer.

The presentation of divine scrolls and Ohikari is to be officiated by Kyoshu-sama as determined in Sekai Kyusei Kyo’s Church Rule No. 2, Item 7 that states, “Kyoshu grants the divine scrolls and Ohikari.” Currently, of all the groups around the world that share a faith in Meishu-sama, the only one that can receive divine scrolls and Ohikari granted by Kyoshu-sama is us, we of World Church of Messiah.

Kyoshu-sama is the only one who truly inherits and carries out the sacred work of Meishu-sama. It is precisely because we are under his leadership that we can walk on this path of true faith in Meishu-sama.

For us with faith in Meishu-sama, to be united with Kyoshu-sama cannot be replaced by anything, and we cannot help but be grateful for this.
