Masaaki-sama’s wife, Mami-okusama, attended the Grand Ceremony to Celebrate the Birth of the Messiah on June 15. This was the first time that she was present at a service of World Church of Messiah. Masaaki-sama and Mami-okusama’s two children were also at Hotel Okura Kobe, and they participated in the ceremony from a private reception room.

We, the Communications Department of World Church of Messiah, requested permission from Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama to carry out a photography session with Mami-okusama. Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama, as well as Mami-okusama herself, gladly agreed. On June 16, the day after the grand ceremony, we took photographs of Mami-okusama as she walked around the hotel such as the garden and the chapel. For the session, both Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama came out to join Mami-okusama, spending a moment filled with smiles.

We received permission from the hotel to carry out the photography session without face masks. Kyoshu-sama and his family, as well as the staff members, took thorough protective measures in prevention of COVID-19 spread.

These photographs will be published in the July issue of Glory along with a feature on the Grand Ceremony to Celebrate the Birth of the Messiah. Please look forward to it!
