Kyoshu-sama’s Hymns – June 1, 2023

To the living God,
Turn your heart,
Open your eyes and listen.
O Meishu-sama,
This you taught us!

You look,
But you don’t really see.
You hear,
But you don’t really listen.
O Jesus, you admonished us with these words
And woke us up!

O God,
Not only did You grant us
These visible eyes and ears,
You also granted us
The spiritual eyes and ears.

——————–

Before the Creation began,
We met You, O God, our true Father,
And heard Your sacred voice!

——————–

It is only through Your power, O God, the Father,
That we are able to see, hear and feel.

——————–

You, O God, use
Our breath and five senses
To accomplish Your will!

O God,
You made our self-consciousness
Through the sensory organs, the five senses.

——————–

You, O God,
Atoned for and forgave us,
We who used the five senses
Thinking that they were ours.

O God,
To You,
I now surrender
My sense of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch!

I pray:
May You, O God, govern
My breath, together with all my five senses,
According to Your will!
