Even when you say “love,” you need to know that there are two kinds of love: God’s love and human love. The love of God is a daijo, all-encompassing love; it is a kind of love that loves all of humanity without limit. On the contrary, human love is a shojo, narrow love; it is a kind of love that is self-seeking and loves only oneself, one’s friends and one’s nation. Human love, therefore, is limited and in the end is evil.

Bible

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
