Under the presence of Kyoshu-sama, the Master of Rituals and Ceremonies, the May Monthly Service was held on May 1 at the World Church of Messiah Headquarters. The recordings of the piano preludes performed at the grand services were playing in the background before the start of the service, enveloping the headquarters in an atmosphere of purity and freshness. At the end of the service too, Masaaki-sama exited the altar room to the sound of a World Church of Messiah original song. And all those who participated in the service left the headquarters having received deep emotion and joy.
The Johrei by the raising of the hand and the accumulation of virtue that were the center of our faith activities before. The posture of taking pride in ourselves for those efforts we were involved in; believing and not questioning our own correctness in those efforts. We realized that this was the same posture of those who hung Jesus on the cross. We have been guided by Kyoshu-sama and Masaaki-sama from this stage and allowed a big change that Masaaki-sama called a great twist in the story. Thus, we are here today.
But behind this great change is the unchanging love of God that nurtures us. I couldn’t help but ask myself exactly how much have I believed in that love. I realized that I was a child who just never tried to know God’s parental heart. And the moment I was able to wish that, from here on, I could be a child that knows the heart of God, my true parent, even a little, I felt profound gratitude and reverence.
“To construct the Holy Sanctuary of the Messiah is our mission, we who are allowed to live at this moment today.” Now that we have received this Sacred Word of Masaaki-sama, I am simply fired up with determination. In order to respond to the parental heart of God, united as one, let us, with our own hands, sound that hammer that reverberates all over the world!
