Under the leadership of Kyoshu-sama, the Master of Rituals and Ceremonies, the Grand Ancestor Service was held on August 6 at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba hotel. Vice President Omiros Kosmidis of World Church of Messiah Greece was present at the service.
The service proceeded smoothly, and it was finally time for Kyoshu-sama to take the stage. He surprised us with the announcement that Mayumi-okusama was there at the venue, causing a stir in the audience. As soon as Mayumi-okusama, accompanied by Masaaki-sama, entered the stage from backstage, there was resounding round of applause. When Mayumi-okusama got up from her wheelchair, the hall was filled with thunderous applause and cheers of joy, which did not subside for a while. Deeply moved by their reunion with Mayumi-okusama after a year and a half since the Beginning of Spring Service last year, many members wiped the tears that flowed from their eyes.
I was deeply moved to see Mayumi-okusama standing up from her wheelchair. I felt that she was showing us the attitude we should have in the face of purification. The joy of being able to see Kyoshu-sama, Mayumi-okusama and Masaaki-sama standing together on stage—when I think about the blessedness and preciousness of being placed under their leadership, it gives me infinite strength and courage. With firm conviction and a burning passion in my heart, I want to keep walking on this path, no matter what. This is a joy that can only be found in World Church of Messiah.
